
This vest is made of melton cloth fabric and lined with 100% polyester lining. The vest features two welt pockets on either panel. The panels also feature the Métis infinity symbol, surrounded by a stylized version of the red river cart wheel . As well as a floral motif representing Métis floral beadwork.
On the backside of the vest is the words “FYAYR DAYTR MICHIF” which translates to “Proud To Be Métis” in English. As well as the infinity symbol. The vest was finished with blue bias tape and white stitching which was chosen to represent the Métis flag. Finally, the white stitching also represents mouse tracks which are a common motif in Métis beadwork.
